How it works

SmartMine’s Proactive Telemetry uses computer intelligence to constantly identify and monitor patterns related to vehicle use, such as speeding and brake misuse. It reads vital data directly from the vehicle and instantly sends notifications to both the operator and the operation central. Such data is related either to hazardous situations or to any other condition foreseen by the user.

The system works regardless the brand and can be perfectly adapted to trucks made by a number of manufacturers such as Volvo®, CAT® and Scania®.

All the data processing is based on an algorithm that determines a rule engine. The interpretation of data read is done by the onboard computer in the vehicle (SMTracker), in real time, prior to being forward to the operation central. This way, no time is wasted warning the vehicle operator about impending serious situations.

Once stored in the database, all vehicle occurrences may be visualized in modern easy-to-use reports.
