Devex finalized the implantation of Smartmine in the Vale mine of Carajás, the largest open pit iron ore mine in the world, at Parauapebas- Pará. Devex, the Brazilian leader of solutions for the management and optimization of open pit and underground mine operations, will start now in Carajás the support in loco phase, keeping employees at the site so they can assist the system and the 136 equipment installed. During the project´s implantation, the team trained 1200 Vale employees to operate Smartmine and the Trackers in order to monitor the mine fleet.
Devex Project Manager, Guilherme Capanema, explains that at the Carajás Mine, Smartmine was implanted with additional functionalities. ´´Vale chose to add the Check List and Report Studio to the project scope. Adjustments were also made to integrate information from third party systems on Smartmine´s inquiry interface, in order to specifically attend the company. The system offers the possibility to create customizable solutions to attend the necessities of our clients´´, he explained.
