The crowd around Devex’s space calls the attention of those passing through the corridors of Exposibram, one of the largest expositions in Latin America in the mining sector.
The explanation is simple: the company is launching a new product, the first of its kind in the world, which will revolutionize mine management.
Devex’s "Extreme" extends automation, which was previously present only in the plant, to the entire mine. Under the new system, all assets are controlled. With Extreme, it is possible to plan and control loaders, trucks, drilling machines, tractors, pipes, blasting, front sampling, scheduled cleanings, route selection, preventive maintenance, dust control, containment, safety procedures, monitoring of people and their activities, among others.
Solutions for various operational goals in both open pit and underground mines- In addition to the launch of Extreme, Devex presented their SmartMine family of products, already established in the market and dealing with process control, optimization of equipment, quality control, precision systems, monitoring the life of the equipment, among others. Some products, which will launch soon, also have been published first-hand to Devex customers: SafetYou, the safety, reliability and security solution for people in underground mines; and eControl, the solution for remote monitoring and control of electrical equipment.
Serious Games simulate the difficulty of operating a mine - To relax and challenge the ability of visitors, Devex made two challenging games available at the exposition, as well as putting it on their website. The first of the "serious games," called "Mining Adventures: The Manager," gives you the chance to understand the goals of mining operations, and to know how SmartMine products can assist in the difficult task of reaching these goals.
"Mining Adventures: The Controller" is a strategy game where the controller of a virtual mine must manage a transport fleet as efficiently as possible, maintaining the correct ratio of sterile/ore in production. This game can be accessed online, on the Devex webpage (www.devexmining.com). A player can check his or her performance, final score and ranking of results.
