Devex announces another successful partnership, which was made possible through the recently established agreement with Minerações Associadas S.A., one of the world’s most important industrial mineral producers. This partnership aims to implement the SmartMine®, whose start-up has already begun, at Cana Brava mine, in the State of Goiás , where SAMA extracts, processes and supplies the entire production of chrysolite for the Brazilian internal market, as well as for great part of the global market.

By the end of the deplyment process, estimated to happen by May 2010, Cana Brava mine operation will be equipped with a powerful range of solutions to be used for the best possible extraction of chrysolite. Optimization, proactive telemetry, quality control and maintenance control will grant more power during the decision-making process in mine operation 24 hours a day.
