Dr. Guilherme Bastos Alvarenga (CEO): Guilherme is an Electrical Engineer, holding a Doctorate Degree in Computer Science (UFMG, 2005) and a Master’s Degree in Automation Engineering (CPDEE, 1997). Being a cofounder of the company, he has led the entire Devex team as the company president since 1997. He began his career as an automation engineer at CSN, one of the leaders in steel production in Brazil, owning an enormous iron ore mine (Casa de Pedra). He was a researcher at Lavras Federal University (UFLA) for nine years (1999-2008) and head of the Computer Science Department at UFLA for three years. He was also a member of the University Council (CUNI, 2007-2008) and has been involved with mining technology ever since.

Luiz Thomaz do Nascimento (Director of Products and Innovation): Luiz Thomaz is an Electrical Engineer with a Master´s degree in Computer Science (UFMG, 2004) and the cofounder of Devex. He has many years of experience in the development of integrated corporative solutions, using systems from IBM, Lotus Notes and SAP platforms. He stepped into the role of Operations Director in 2001, and since then, he has been in charge of implementing many Devex solutions in the mining sector- including the SmartMine project. Today, he is the director responsible for the development of the new line of products from Devex, such as Extreme and SmartMine.UG.

Vander de Souza Barros (Director of Manufacturing): Vander is an Electronic and Telecommunication Engineer (PUC Minas, 2000), with a Master´s degree in Administration- concentration on Finances and Accounting (FEAD, 2009) and an MBA in Business Management (FEAD, 2004). He has been the Director of Manufacturing since 2001. From 2001 to 2009, he was also the company´s CFO and Administrative Director. He is also a professor at UNIPAC, where he teaches Financial Analysis, Financial Mathematics and Foreign Trade.

Rodrigo Guilherme Couto (Sales Director for Latin America): Rodrigo is an Electrical Engineer (Minas Gerais Catholic University), and holds an MBA in Marketing from FGV-2008/09, being also an expert in industrial automation. He coordinates and deploys projects in a number of industrial segments in companies such as Usiminas, Petrobras, Votorantim, Acesita, Arcelor, Camargo Correia, Keops Famic CA, Hidro Quebec CA and FLS Automation USA. As an Executive Director, he worked for 10 years at a national dairy industry, in addition to having worked at TSA Brazil, FLS Automation - USA, Queops Farmic Canada and Lulitati Laticínios in Brazil.

Lourdes Aguiar (Financial and Administrative Director): Lourdes holds a BSc in Accounting from Universitário Newton Paiva Ferreira (2003) and worked as partner at an accounting company, as well as an accountant in the optometry industry, auditor for the BDO group and was responsible for the Tax and Accounting areas at a multinational steelmaking company - Toshiba do Brasil S/A. She participated in the Corporate Re-structuring (Partial Spin-off) for the group in Brazil.

Rodrigo Passos Marinho (Director of Projects and Services): Rodrigo holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (UFLA, 2001), Master Degree in Computer Science (UFMG, 2005) and is a Specialist in IT/Automation Project Management. From 2001 to 2009, he worked in the development, implementation and project management for the mining industry by Devex. Since 2010, he is in charge of Devex´s national and international operations (projects, services and support).
